Ronald L. Klem, 73, Jasper

Ronald L. Klem, 73, of Jasper, died Friday, September 13, at Deconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. He was born in Huntingburg January 28, 1946, to Clarence and Dolores (Schepers) Klem. He married  Ann Mehne June 29, 1967, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville.

Ronald was a farmer and worked in agriculture construction throughout his life. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper, where he served on the church council and building committee. He was a member of the Ireland Sportsman Club and Jasper Moose Lodge 1175. He enjoyed playing cards, was an avid sports fan, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Klem; one daughter, Kerry McKeighan and husband Mic, Zionsville; one son, Chris Klem and wife Tammy, Fort Branch;  eight grandchildren, Andie, Jake, and Klyde McKeighan, Jessie Thompson, Isaac Jackson, and Cory, Tabatha, and Brody Klem; two great-grandchildren, Willow and Asa Jackson; his mother, Dolores Schepers, Ireland; one sister, Carol Oser, Ferdinand, and five brothers, Stan Klem, New Hampshire, Tim Klem and wife Janet and Brian Klem and wife Patty, all of Jasper, Mark Klem and wife Elaine, North Olmstead, Ohio, and Jeff Klem, Ireland.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Klem, and one son, Cory Klem.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity. Online condolences can be shared at Funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with burial following in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Haysville. Pastor Adam Ruschau will officiate.
