Jasper Man Arrested For Child Molesting In Huntingburg


Huntingburg (NNDC) – A local man now faces multiple child-molesting charges.


Huntingburg police say a joint investigation with the Dubois County Department of Family Services has resulted in the arrest of 45-year old Frank Phillips of Jasper.

The joint investigation began this past July when DCDFS received information about alleged sexual misconduct on an 8-year-old male that happened in the summer of 2014.

Wednesday, Huntingburg Police dectective Sargent Christian Gogel questioned Phillips regarding the allegations.  Later in the day, Phillips was taken into custody.

Police are not disclosing if and how Phillips and the boy know each other.

Philips is charged with two counts of child molestation (one charge a C Felony; the second a Level 4 Felony) and two counts of dissemination of matter harmful to minors (one a D Felony; the other a Level 6 Felony).
