Robert L. Stetter, 74, Huntingburg

Roblert StetterRobert L. Stetter, 74, of Huntingburg, died Wednesday (October 28) at the Indiana University Health Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born in Huntingburg May 8, 1941, to Valentine and Delores (Hackman) Stetter.

Robert was a farmer and worked for Kimball International. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, enjoyed gardening, and served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman at White Sands, New Mexico.

He is survived by two sisters, Frances Hopf and Mary Ann Stetter, both of Huntingburg, three brothers, James “Shortie” Stetter and wife Mary Kay and Raymond and Charles Stetter, all of Huntingburg; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Edwin Hopf, and one sister-in-law, Sandy Stetter.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. A parish rosary prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared online at Funeral services at 10 a.m. (EDT) Saturday at St. Mary’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
