Frentz A. Sivori, 94, Huntingburg
Frentz A. Sivori, 94, of Huntingburg, died Saturday (August 1) at The Waters of Huntingburg Nursing Center in Huntingburg. He was born in Louisville April 19, 1921 to Frentz J. and Emily (Von Eye) Sivori. He married Rita M. Merkley July 1, 1943, at Schnellville Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She died May 29, 2007.
Frentz was a retired factory worker and was employed for 18 years at the Jasper Cabinet Company. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, V.F.W. Post No. 2366, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Holy Name Society. He was an Army infantry veteran of World War II.
He is survived by one son, James A. “Jim” Sivori and wife Kathy, Huntingburg; one daughter, Donna K. O’Brian and husband Terry, Montgomery; two sisters, Pat Turner, Taylorsville, Kentucky, and Margie Bartley, Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, John, Al, and Stan Sivori.
Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. A parish rosary will be prayer at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to Honor Flight of Southern Indiana. Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com. Services at 10 a.m. Wednesday (August 5) at St. Mary’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The V.F.W. Post No. 2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.
