Schuetter Takes First Place At Ohio Art Show (AUDIO)
YOUNGSTOWN, OH (Local Sources) — A watercolor by Jasper artist Myra Schuetter took first place at the recently completed Butler Institute of American Art’s Midyear Show.

The Butler’s Midyear Show is open to artists age 18 or older who reside within the fifty United States or its territories. Works in all two dimensional media are eligible including oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, drawings, prints, photographs and digital works.
A total of 240 artists submitted 794 works of art for this year’s show. The institute says 95 works from 85 artists were selected.
Schuetter’s winning watercolor will be on display at the Youngstown, Ohio institute through Sunday, August 30th.
Schuetter says the Butler Institute has the country’s premier collection of American art.
