
Three Juveniles Charged With Felony Burglary; Jasper Man Arrested For Shoplifting (POLICE BLOTTER)

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department the three teenager face Level 5 felony counts of burglary and misdemeanor counts of theft and criminal mischief after they allegedly burglarized the Ireland Youth Sports concession. The break-in was discovered Monday morning. Two of the teenagers are from Jasper… the other is from Huntingburg.
DCSD says a window air conditioning unit was destroyed when it was pushed through a window to gain entry to the building.
The building, which is located east of Ireland Elementary school was also ransacked and some concessions including candy and sodas were taken.
A witness helped police locate the three teenagers who were found walking along West 300 North a short time later.
The three were released to the custody of their parents.
LOCAL MAN ARRESTED FOR SHOPLIFTING AT WALMART
JASPER (NNDC) – A Huntingburg man has been arrested charged with theft.
Jasper police say 26-year old Johnathon Rottet of Huntingburg is charged with attempting to steal $100 worth of electronics merchandise from the Jasper Walmart store on north Newton Street.
Police responded to the store at about 4:20 Thursday afternoon.
