Jasper Man Arrested For Felony Intimidation (POLICE BLOTTER)
JASPER (NNDC) – A 33-year old Jasper man has been arrested following what police say was a domestic disturbance early Thursday morning.
Jeremy May was taken into custody charged with a Level 6 felony count of Intimidation. He’s also charged with Battery/Battery with Bodily Injury While Engaged in Official Duties. He’s being held without bond at the Dubois County Security Center.
JPD says it was called to May’s home in the 1400 of Main Street shortly after midnight. Police say their investigation found that May made threats to a female resident at the home.
LOCAL WOMAN CITED IN TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT
JASPER (NNDC) – A Jasper woman was cited following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday night in midtown Jasper.
Jasper police say Stephanie Fisher of Huntingburg was traveling south on Newton Street (U. S. 231) while Heather Smith of Jasper was stopped at 8th Street heading east.
JPD says Smith attempted to turn right (south) on Newton, but pulled into the path of Fisher’s pickup truck.
No one was hurt. Smith was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way.
