Aline Gogel, 88, Mariah Hill
Aline Gogel, 88, of Mariah Hill, died Tuesday (June 16) at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. She was born in Ferdinand April 28, 1927, to Alois and Cecelia (Seger) Oeding. She married Claude P. Gogel September 16, 1950, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. He preceded her in death April 13, 2013.
Aline was a homemaker. She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality. She was also was a member of the Jasper VFW Post 673 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting and gardening, especially growing geraniums.
She is survived by three sons, David Gogel, and Daniel Gogel and wife Lori, all of Mariah Hill, and Kevin Gogel and wife Missy, Indianapolis; three daughters, Karen Boeglin and husband Leroy, Bretzville, Mary Gogel, Mariah Hill, and Kristine Eckert and husband Steve, St. Henry; one brother, Jerome Oeding and wife Joan, Jasper; four sisters, Cyrilla Betz and husband Joseph, Huntingburg, Rita Altman and husband Dennis and Joan Oeding, all of Ferdinand, and Almeda Hurst and husband Edward, Mariah Hill; 11 grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Gogel, and a brother, James N. Oeding
Services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mary Help of Christians Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
