New Partner Creating New “Synergy” For Embattled Jasper Library Board (VIDEO)

JASPER (NNDC) – For nearly 10 years the Jasper Public Library Board of Directors has struggled in deciding if the city’s outdated library should be renovated or replaced all together.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars on this study and that study, but without any result.

But, at a special meeting the board hosted Monday night,  it was obvious a new partner in the search is creating new “synergy” in the effort…

Now if cost estimates are good enough for the two boards, the project must still be approved by a voter referendum.  That vote will more than likely be in the fall of 2016. A referendum on a newly constructed library on the city’s far southside off south Newton Street was soundly defeated.
