Numerous Westside Thefts Have Police Asking For The Public’s Help; A Gun Was Among Items Stolen (AUDIO)

JASPER (NNDC) – Jasper police are looking for the person or people responsible for thefts from several vehicles over night on the city’s far west side.

Jasper detective Sgt. Rick Chambers tells NewsNow Dubois County that all of the break-ins were in the Kluemper Road area.  He says various amounts of money were taken from the vehicles; a 22-caliber pistol was taken from one of them.

Chambers says all the thefts have a common denominator…

Chambers says police sure if the thefts were the work of one or more individuals.

The local Community Strike Force Against Crime and the Jasper Police Department are offering a $750 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible.
