No One Serious Hurt In Local Accidents This Weekend (BLOTTER)

Three-Vehicle Accident Sunday South Of Jasper

JASPER (NNDC) – The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says no one was hurt in a three-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon.

DCSD says 43-year old Jeremy Ingle of Jasper was stopped for traffic in the northbound lane of U.S. 231 shortly before 6pm when the accident happened. This was about a mile south of Indiana 162

DCSD says Ingle’s pickup truck was then rear-ended by an SUV driven by 45-year old Ted Schwenk of rural Jasper. DCSD says the impact of that collision pushed Ingle’s pickup into a third vehicle, possibly a dark-colored SUV. But, that vehicle drove away from the scene.

Single-Vehicle Accident North of Bretzville Junction Sunday

BRETZVILLE (NNDC) – A Ferdinand teen was not seriously injured in a single-vehicle acccident Sunday morning just north of the Bretzville Junction.

A Dubois County sheriff’s deputy came upon the accident shortly before 9am Sunday morning while on patrol.

DCSD says the driver of the vehilcle was 19-year old Shelby Klem of Ferdinand. Klem told DCSD she was driving when her SUV went left of center, ran off the west side of the highway and landed in a ditch at the end of a steep embankment.

DCSD says Klem suffered only minor scrapes and did complain of pain. She was treated at the scene. Her SUV was a total loss.

Two-Vehicle Saturday Night Accident In Jasper

JASPER — One person was not seriously hurt in a two-vehicle accident Saturday in Jasper.

Jasper police say 47-year old Charles Moore of Mount Juliet, Tenn., was northbound on Newton Street at about 8:45pm when his truck collided with an SUV near Third Street.
The SUV was drive by 42-year old David Drake of Jasper.

Jasper police say Drake was southboundon Newton and was attempting to make a left turn onto Third Street when the vehicles collided.

Drake complained of neck pain but was not transported by ambulance.

No citations were issued.
