Main Sets SHS Record In 200 Meters; Jeeps Score In Bottom Of 7th For Baseball Win (SCOREBOARD)


Southridge 66 Forest Park 61

At Huntingburg, on the day she signed a National Letter of Intent to run track and field at NCAA Division 1 Murray State, Southridge senior Aubrey Main sets a new school record in the 200 meters with a time of 27.27 (previously held by Nikki Bueltel in 2012). Main now holds the school records for the 200m, 100m, 400m and the high jump.

Northeast Dubois 3  North Knox 2

At Dubois, after two disappointing losses, a blowout at Jasper, and a nailbiter at defending Class 1A state champ Shakamak, the Jeeps get back into the win column with a 3-2 win over Blue Chip Conference foe North Knox.  The Jeeps score the winning run in the bottom of the 7th to improve to 8-4-1.


Forest Park 8 Perry Central 7

At Bretzville, the Lady Rangers’ Katelyn Roos scored on a Taylor Nordhoff RBI single in the bottom of the 9th lifted Forest Park to the win.  The teams combined for 25 hits in the ballgame.

South Spencer 12  Southridge 0
At Huntingburg, the Lady Raiders fall in a PAC matchup with South Spencer.   Southridge had five fielding errors in falling to 4-9 overall for the season.  South Spencer also won the Junior Varsity game, 10-0.
Heritage Hills 11  Northeast Dubois 0
At Dubois, the visiting Lady Patriots scores five runs in the first inning.  The Lady Jeeps, coming off a win at Orleans the night before, drop to 4-9 for the season.

Springs Valley 185  Forest Park 196  Perry Central 203

At the Donald Ross Golf Course at French Lick, the Rangers finish second in a triangular match.  Matt Miller had the low score for the Rangers who are now 10-5 overall for the 2015 season. Coach Chris Tretter says fast greens and tour-level bunkers challenged the Rangers as the averaged 25.5 strokes within 15 feet of the green.
