Broken Valve Causes Some Discoloration Of Water Near Kimball; City-Wide Hydrant Flushing Continues
JASPER (Local Sources) – A broken water valve caused discolored water for some Jasper water customers on Monday.
City officials say the water valve broke while construction crews were working on Cathy Lane near Kellerville Road.
The valve was repaired City officials says the water in that area of Jasper is safe but if any customers encounter water discoloration all they need do is run cold water through their faucets until it clears.
Meanwhile, the Jasper Municipal Water Department continues their Spring hydrant flushing. Hours of flushing are 7:30 a.m. thru 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday (weather permitting).
