At Indianapolis, the undefeated Wildcats shutdown the #1 team in 4A Saturday.   A two-run RBI double by Tyler Haskins off the Irish’s highly-touted Ashe Russell the difference in the ballgame.   IU-bound Cal Krueger throws a complete game shutout for the Wildcats.  Jasper improves to 16-0 with the win.   The loss was the first of the season for Cathedral.

Forest Park 24  Springs Valley 0

At French Lick, the Rangers scored nine runs in the top of the first and never looked back.  Noah Linderman was 3-3 with 5 RBIs to lead Forest Park.  Damon Wilmes and Jaxon Cronin also had 3 RBIs each.  Trever Zink and Adam Braunecker combine for a two-hitter on the mound.

At Jasper, the Lady Wildcats split a doubleheader with South Dearborn Saturday.  Grace Werner went 3-3 at the plate with a double and 2 singles to lead the Wildcats in hitting in game one. Olivia Knies got the win in the circle for Jasper; allowing five runs over seven innings on 11 hits while striking out seven and walking six.

In game two, Jasper batters could muster only four hits in the game that was run-ruled after 5 innings.  Jasper’s only two runs were in the bottom of the 5th after South Dearborn built a 15-0 advantage
