Hazel Mae Miller, 95, Huntingburg
Hazel Mae Miller, 95, of Huntingburg, died Wednesday (April 29) at her home. She was born in Jasper February 1, 1920, to Walter and Arilla (Anderson) Taber. She married Clarence L. Miller December 11, 1943, in Jasper. He died March 30, 2003.
Hazel worked 30 years in the dry cleaning business, was a 60 year member of Central Christian Church in Huntingburg, loved to crochet, write poems, and watch Indiana University basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Holding) Parks, Huntingburg; two sisters, Irma Schnell, Jasper, and Peggy Tomey, Terre Haute; two brothers, Ralph Taber, Evansville, and Donnie Taber, Jasper; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Randy Miller, four sisters, Mabel Klee, Eldena McNeil, Rosemary Lowry, and Katherine Foxworthy, two brothers, Harley and Richard Taber, and one great-grandchild.
Services at 2 p.m. (EDT) Saturday at Central Christian Church in Huntingburg with burial following in Fairmount Cemetery. Pastor Paul Newland will officiate. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, and from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com.
