Dubois County Bombers Win on the Road

Huntingburg (NNDC) – The Dubois County Bombers road trip continues with another win which pushes their record to 20-13.   In a game that saw several lead changes, it was the Bombers who came out on top thanks to a pair of runs that crossed the plate in the 6th inning against Madisonville.

The game was tied at 5 heading into the sixth inning when Dubois County plated two runs for the lead.   Madisonville added one run in the bottom half of the seventh but wasn’t enough as the Bombers held the Miners scoreless for the remainder of the game.   Dubois County went on to win the game 7-6.

The Bombers and Miners each tallied 11 hits on the game which included two homeruns by Madisonville and one long ball by the Bombers.   Graham Hackbarth and Caleb Noble went deep for the Miners and Gavin Napier hit a solo shot for Dubois County in the second inning.   Napier, Tanner Craig and Evan Kahre had a multi-hit games while Napier went 3 for 3 at the plate.

Reece Kleinhelter picked up the win for Dubois County after pitching four innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out two.   Tobe Whitten picked up the save for the Bombers.

The road trip will come to an end tonight as Dubois County travels to Henderson for a Monday night battle.   The Bombers return home on Tuesday night to face Fulton before hitting the road again on Thursday for a 4 game roadtrip.

Red Hot Bombers Win in Extra Innings

Huntingburg (NNDC) – The Red Hot Dubois County Bombers win in dramatic fashion on Friday night at League Stadium in 15 innings over the Henderson Flash.  It was a night where the base paths saw a lot of action with the Bombers and Flash each collecting 16 hits.

Dubois County took a 6-5 lead into the 8th inning before the Flash tied it up in the top half of the inning.   Both teams were unable to plate another run which lead to free baseball in Huntingburg.    The Bombers and Flash remained scoreless until the top of the 15th inning when Henderson plated one and took a 7-6 lead into the Bombers half of the inning.   Dubois County sent 4 batters to the plate in the 15th.   The inning started with Cooper Trinkle advancing to first on a walk,  Nick Gonzalez reached 1st on a ground ball error to 3rd base advancing Trinkle to second base.  Evan Kahre pinched hit for Nolan Ramsey and advanced on a bunt single to the pitcher which led to the Bombers having bases loaded.   Tanner Craig stepped into the box and earned a walk, scoring Trinkle and tying the game.   Austin Peay product John McDonald stepped into the batters box with bases loaded, no outs and sent a fly ball into center field, scoring Gonzalez giving Dubois County the 8-7 win.

The win is the Bombers 3rd in a row and the 6th in their last 7 games and moves their win/loss record to 14-10.   Jack Anderson picked up the win for Dubois County.   He allowed two hits and one run while striking out three in his 3 innings of work.   The Bombers were led in hitting with Cooper Trinkle, Matthew Andrews and Evan Aders picking up three hits each.

The Bombers return to action on Saturday night as the Owensboro River Dawgs visit League Stadium.  Game time is 7pm.
