James F. “Jim” Harris, 85, Huntingburg

James F. “Jim” Harris, 85, of Huntingburg, died Friday, June 26, at The Waters of Huntingburg. He was born in Huntingburg October 10, 1934, to Glenn and Alberta (Fisher) Harris. He married Dolly Mohr September 28, 1957, at St. Ferdinand Church in Ferdinand.

Jim served in the U.S. Army and worked at DMI as a resident engineer. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Huntingburg YMI, enjoyed golfing, and was a Green Bay Packers fan.

He is survived by his wife, Dolly Harris; two daughters, Donna Uebelhor and husband Tom, Jasper, and Deb Harris, Hermitage, Tennessee; one son, Jim Harris and wife Bert, Huntingburg; two sisters, Carolyn Klee and husband Russ, and Shirley Satkamp, all of Jasper; two sisters-in-law, Cindy Harris, Huntingburg, and Rhea Harris, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchilren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Steve Harris, and one sister, Glenda Turpin.
