Norma Irene Vaughn Saddler, 83, Pikeville

Norma Irene Vaughn Saddler, 83, of Pikeville, died Wednesday, December 11, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born in Pikeville January 28, 1936, to Norman and Margaret (Barrett) Stilwell.

Norma was a farmer, foster mother, and childcare provider and lived on the Stilwell farm in Pikeville her entire life. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Winslow Chapter and Pikeville Church of Christ since the age of 12 and loved gardening.

She is survived by three daughters, Darlene (Edward) Peyronnin and husband Edward, Evansville, Nancy Schneider and husband Anthony, Leesville, South Carolina, and Norma Hughart and husband Jeff, Newburgh; three brothers, Richard “Ray” Stilwell, Petersburg, Roy Stilwell and wife Margie, Otwell, and Phillip Stilwell and wife Lou Anne, Pikeville; three sisters, Bernice Luker, Pikeville, and Alethea Henke and husband Ron and Phyllis Reinbold and husband Gene, all of Jasper; eight grandchildren, Eric Elliott and wife Sarah, Lindsay Bevilaqua and husband Tully, Sarah Raines and husband Russell, Samantha Schneider, Drew Schneider and wife Sarah, Laura Liotti and husband Brian, Jeffrey Kuhn and wife Dana, and Daniel Kuhn and wife Jennifer; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Vaughn in 1991; her second husband, Ralph Saddler in 2013; her stepmother, Wilma Stilwell; and sister-in-law Joyce Stilwell. stepmother, Wilma Stilwell; and sister-in-law, Joyce Stilwell.

Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Stilwell Cemetery. Online condolences can be shared at Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stilwell Cemetery in Pikeville. Her brother Richard “Ray” Stilwell will officiate at the service.
