Sharon Faye Neukam, 74, Jasper

Sharon Faye Neukam, age 74, of Jasper, died Tuesday, December 10, at her home. She was born in Paoli November 28, 1945, to Charles and Virginia (Howell) Wininger.  She married Gene Neukam July 29, 1995, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads in Dubois.

Sharon was a 1963 graduate of Springs Valley High School. She worked at Springs Valley Bank in Jasper and retired from Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper where she worked for several years. She was a founding and charter member of Redemption Christian Church in Jasper and a former member of Nicholson Valley Christian Church. She enjoyed singing and was a lead singer of a trio in high school which continued to perform after high school at events and on stage. She enjoyed playing piano, and was a pianist at both Nicholson Valley and Redemption Christian churches. She loved to play cards, do jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Gene Neukam; two sons, Ryan Hall and wife Carla, Indianapolis, and Kyle Hall and wife Brittany, Jasper; two step-daughters, Leah Pinnick and husband Terry, Phoenix, Arizona, and Kathy Bledsoe and husband Brad, West Baden; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Janet Pridemore and husband Buddy, Mitchell.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Stacy Hall, one son, Jeffrey Hall, and one brother, Gary Wininger.

Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Thursday and from 9-10 a.m. Friday at Redemption Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to a favorite charity. Pastor Darrel Land and Pastor Joe Crow will officiate.
