Eldon Louis Dedrick, 86, Jasper

Eldon Louis Dedrick, 86, of Jasper, died Tuesday, November 5, at The Timbers of Jasper. He was born in Pike County October 14, 1933, to Aaron Lee and Bessie Marie (Grubb) Dedrick. He married Inza Mae Meyer February 21, 1959, at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Parsonage in Stendal.

Eldon served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and retired from Leeds Selling Tools. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, and collecting toy tractors.

He is survived by his wife, Inza Mae Dedrick; two daughters, Robin Traylor and husband Gary,  Velpen, and Jennifer Blessinger and husband Tony, Jasper; one brother, Frank Dedrick and wife Peggy, Jasper; two sisters, Judy Patterson, Jasper, and Sharon Kovacs, Bedford; sister-in-law Virlee Dedrick, Jasper; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Glen, Richard, and William Dedrick, and two sisters, Mary Lou Polen and Carolyn Friedman.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Nass and Son Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Online condolences can be shared at www.nassandson.com. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial following in St. Peter’s Lutheral Cemetery in Stendal. Military graveside rites conducted by the Holland American Legion Post 343 Memorial Detail. Pastor Ed Wicks will officiate at the service.
