Local Entities Receive Funding

Dubois County (NNDC):


Several  area local communities will receive state money through its Next Level Roads initiative.

229 Indiana cities, towns and counties will receive a combined $99.2 million dollars in state matching funds for local road projects.

The city of Huntingburg will get $134,899.  Loogootee will receive just over $763,000.  Crawford County is getting just over $340,000.  Martin County $574,000.  Pike County will receive just over $434,000.

To qualify for funding, local governments must provide local matching funds, 50 percent for larger communities or 25 percent for smaller communities . They must also submit an INDOT-approved asset management plan for maintaining existing roads and bridges.

State law requires annually that 50 percent of the available matching funds be awarded to communities within counties with a population of 50,000 or fewer.
