Helen F. Greener, 83, Jasper

Helen F. Greener, 83, of Jasper, died Tuesday, September 24, at Brookside Village in Jasper. She was born in Jasper October 9, 1935, to Simon and Angela (Stratman) Demuth. She married Ralph Greener November 14, 1959, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand. He died September 27, 2016.

Helen was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper and its Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She enjoyed gardening, listening to country music, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Julie Greener, Jasper; three sons, Dennis Greener and wife Jolene and Ray Greener, all of Jasper; and Larry Greener, Petersburg; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters, Florentine Laake, Mary Verkamp, and Alice Demuth, and two brothers, Othmar and Leo Demuth.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church.  The Blessed Virgin Sodality will pray a rosary at 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Holy Family Church or to a favorite charity. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with entombment following in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.
