Patricia A. “Pat” Braun, 86, Jasper

Patricia A. “Pat” Braun, 86, of Jasper, died Tuesday, September 17, at The Timbers of Jasper. She was born in St. Anthony April 12, 1933, to Herbert and Tillie (Schuch) Englert. She married John Braun September 12, 1953, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

Pat was a 1951 graduate of Jasper High School. She was a stenographer for Kimball International and worked in customer service at Walmart. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and its St. Anne’s Society and the Jasper Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed nature, especially loving birds and butterflies, reading, music, singing, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, John Braun; two daughters, Barb McAtee, Jasper, and Beth King, Evansville; one son-in-law, Duane Chattin, Vincennes; four grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Lee Witcher, Ft. Wayne, and Darlene Drabing and husband Ben, French Lick; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Chattin.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Church or to a favorite charity. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with burial following at a later date.
