160th Holland Fest Continues with many great events today!

Holland Indiana is a great place to be anytime but especially during their 160th Anniversary Celebration this weekend.  There are many great events and plenty of things for the whole family to do and all the monies raised go to supporting many worth while projects in the community.  Today started early with the 5k run and walk, all booths opened around 11am along with the many events and demonstrations like log sawing and carving by Bear Hollow today.

Andrea Peters from the Holland Fest Committee talked about today and what is to come including the 160th Holland Fest Parade at 2pm sponsored by Blesch Brothers Equipment.



The Fest offers all kinds of unique like the Donut booth featuring delicious donuts made right there it is a very busy booth, there is bbq ribs, pork sandwhichs, homemade potato chips, kettle corn and the list goes on and on.  Fireworks tonight, Howl at the Moon on the German American Main Stage and more.  Sunday starts with community Church Service at Henke Stadium, food booths open 11am, Holland Legion dinners available at the Henke Stadium at 11am and the Raffle Winners announced at 11:30 with a $1,000 top Prize!

Below you can see Bear Hollow Carving at work, Holland items on display which those and other pictures you can see in the Windmill and one of the many vendors Lanny who live just up the road selling his hand made walking sticks, Lanny is 78 years old and has severe vision problems but goes to area fest to sell the walking sticks and its always good to have a walking stick in the park.
