Jasper Wildcats Volleyball and Soccer Teams in Action on Saturday

Jasper (NNDC):  The Jasper Wildcats volleyball and soccer teams were in action on Saturday and a rundown of the scores are listed below.


Jasper 3 – Linton-Stockton 1

The Jasper Wildcats volleyball team improves to 8-3 on the season after taking down Linton-Stockton in 4 sets on Saturday.  The Wildcats were led by Reagan Egbert with 20 kills.   Caroline Kaiser and Allison Mair added 8 kills each.  Mair and Izzy Hopf each had 4 blocks.  Kate Green had 38 assists while Jayden Pfister, Kayla Fuhs, Kate Green and Reagan Egbert all added 14 digs in the win.   Up next for Jasper is a Tuesday night matchup as the Wildcats will host the Vincennes Lincoln Alices.



(Boys) Jasper 3 – New Albany 3

(Girls) Concordia Lutheran 2 – Jasper 1 (Hoosier Cup – Bloomington)

(Girls) Jasper 0 – Bloomington North 0 (Hoosier Cup – Bloomington)

In Boys soccer, the Jasper Wildcats jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before New Albany scored pulling the Bulldogs within 1 in the 2nd half.   Jasper bumped up their lead to 3-1 before New Albany scored twice in the final 4 minutes to force an unlikely 3-3 tie.

On the girls side, Jasper continued play in the Hoosier Cup tournament in Bloomington and lost early in the day to Concordia Lutheran 2-1 and defense ruled their second game of the day as their matchup with Bloomington North ended in a 0-0 tie.
