Busy Labor Day weekend for Local Authorities

Jasper – (NNDC)

Jasper police arrested a local man Joshua Cummins,  Mr. Cummins came to the Jasper Police Department and was causing a disturbance on the sidewalk, yelling at a female victim. Joshua became combative towards officers while in a holding cell, punching one officer and attempting to take a holstered weapon away from two of the officers.

Mr. Cummins is charged with  Harassment, Disorderly Conduct, Intimidation, Resisting Law enforcement, Battery on a public safety official, Attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

JASPER POLICE ALSO RESPONDED TO REPORTS OF A FEMALE SUBJECT THAT HAD POSSIBLY STOLEN ITEMS FROM SHOE SENSATION AND GLICKS. JASPER POLICE MADE CONTACT WITH THE FEMALE SUBJECT INSIDE GLICKS, WHO WAS LATER IDENTIFIED AS 30 YEAR OLD RYANNA ALLBRIGHT OF SHOALS . AFTER INVESTIGATION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT ALLBRIGHT HAD STOLEN ITEMS FROM SHOE SENSATION TOTALLING $29.98.

DURING A SEARCH OF HER BELONGINGS INCIDENT TO ARREST, OFFICERS LOCATED 2 SYRINGES. ONE OF THE SYRINGES HAD A CLEAR SUBSTANCE INSIDE THAT WAS LATER FIELD TESTED POSITIVE FOR METHAMPHETAMINES.

ALLBRIGHT WAS CHARGED WITH MISDEMEANOR THEFT AND FELONY POSSESSION OF METH. AND THE 2 SYRINGES
AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE SECURITY CENTER.
