Dubois County Bombers Road Trip Continues in Henderson

Henderson (NNDC):  The Dubois County Bombers continued their 3 game road trip on Tuesday night as they faced off against the Henderson Flash.    The Bombers enter the contest riding a 2 game winning streak and winners of 3 of their last 5 games while Henderson was looking to stop their 4 game slide.   Dubois County jumped out to a 1 to nothing lead after plating one in the 2nd inning.    The Flash bounced back in the bottom of the 2nd and took a 2-1 lead before the Bombers plated 2 more in the top of the 3rd inning.   Tyler Van Pelt reached on a double and Easton Stewart reached base after being hit by the pitch.   Both would come around to score giving the Bombers a 3-2 lead.

The bottom of the 3rd turned out to be the inning that put the game away for Henderson as they had 8 runs cross the plate.   The Flash sent 14 batters to the plate and picked up 8 hits in the big inning.  Dubois County did add 1 run in each of the 6th, 8th and 9th inning but it wasn’t enough as the Bombers would fall 11-6.
