Bombers Return to Action on the Road at Paducah

Huntingburg (NNDC):  The Dubois County Bombers returned to action on the road Tuesday night following three rainouts.   The Bombers visited the Paducah Chiefs and after taking a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the 5th inning, the Chiefs struck for 5 runs giving them an 8-4 lead and eventual win by the same score.   The Bombers had 4 runs on 4 hits and 4 errors.   Austin Duffy went 2 for 4 at the plate for Dubois County while Tyler Van Pelt and Marcus Hill added one hit apiece.  Andrew Schimmoller took the loss on the mound for the Bombers.  He gave up 5 runs on 2 hits in one inning of play.  With the loss, Dubois County is 2-4 on the season and will return to action on Wednesday as they travel to Franklin.   The Bombers will return to League Stadium on Thursday night as they host Henderson on Thirsty Thursday.   Dubois County will continue the 4 game homestand this weekend as they’ll face Owensboro on Friday night, Paducah on Saturday and Madisonville on Sunday.   Game times are set for 7pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday while the first pitch is set for 6pm on Sunday.
