Brenda A. Hochmeister, 67, Jasper

Brenda A. Hochmeister, 67, of Jasper, died Thursday, June 6, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born in Jasper March 12, 1952, to James and Bernadine (Sermersheim) Schutz. She married Thomas A. Hochmeister on January 5, 1988, in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Brenda was a 1970 graduate of Jasper High School. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughters. She also enjoyed listening to and watching all sports, including local ball games and NASCAR racing.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Hochmeister; one daughter, Shanna Schutz, Jasper; two granddaughters, Emma Schutz and Desi Wagner, both of Jasper; three sisters, Barbara Schutz Hopf and husband Ronald, and Beth and Jayme Schutz, all of Jasper; three brothers, Daryl Schutz and wife Bobbie, Evansville, and Daniel Schutz and wife Julie and David Schultz, all of Jasper; two nieces; three nephews; four great-nieces; three great-nephews; and her dog, Missy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bernadine Schultz.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Monday at Precious Blood Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Precious Blood Church or to the wishes of the family.
