Bombers Drop Game on the Road to Muhlenberg County

Muhlenberg County (NNDC): The Dubois County Bombers drop to 2-3 on the season as they fall on the road to Muhlenberg County 7-3.    Dubois County jumped out to a 2-0 lead after 3 innings and led by 1 after the 4th, but the Stallions broke loose in the bottom of the 5th inning as they scored 3 runs giving them a 4-2 lead.  Dubois County would add a run in the 6th inning but Muhlenberg County struck for 3 more in the bottom of the 8th which would give them a 7-3 lead and the eventual win.

Patrick Queener took the loss for Dubois County.   Queener went 4 innings, allowed 2 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4.   The Bombers struggled defensively on the night and had 4 errors.   Offensively, Dubois County had 6 hits on the night which includes the 2 for 3 night at the plate for Easton Stewart.

The Bombers will have a chance to get back on the winning track as Dubois County will host the same Muhlenberg County Stallions team at League Stadium on Thursday.   It’s Thirsty Thursday and Hawaaiian Night at the ballpark.   First pitch is set for 7pm.
