Esther LaJune Kendall, 98, Huntingburg

Esther LaJune Kendall, 98, of Huntingburg, died Sunday, June 2, at The Waters of Huntingburg. She was born in Birdseye September 24, 1920, to Orville R. and Iva (Throop) Faulkner. She married Theodore R. “Ted” Kendall October 5, 1938, in Huntingburg. He died October 14, 1993.

Esther was a lifelong believer of the Christian Pentecostal faith. For many years, she assisted and supported her husband in the stewardship and pastoral duties of his Christian ministry.

She is survived by one son, Terry Wayne Kendall and wife Michaela, Huntingburg; two daughters, Frieda Ross and husband Arthur and Marsha Stutsman and husband Roger, all of Huntingburg; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Jean Masterson; three sisters, Mildred Stilwell, Opal Hale, and Hazel Grooms; one brother, Robert Faulkner, four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and noon-2 p.m. Thursday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Online condolences can be shared at Funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with burial following in Birdseye Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Brother Charlie Lawson, Brother Charles Collins and Brother Jeremiah Pitts.
