Ellen L. Fuhrman, 78, Jasper

Ellen L.  Fuhrman, 78, of Jasper, died Wednesday, May 22, at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was born in Washington March 10, 1941, to Harold and Bessie (Wagner) Frady. She married Emil Fuhrman March 27, 1965, at Frady Memorial United Methodist Church in Raglesville. He died May 7, 2013.

Ellen was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and WELCA. She was active in her weekly bible study and enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Marcia (Gary) Hopf and husband Gary, Bloomington, Illinois, and Karen Lovell and husband Steve, Oswego, Illinois; two sons, Stanford Fuhrman, Jasper, and Kevin Fuhrman and wife Susan, Bloomington, Illinois; six grandchildren, Emily, Megan, and Adam Hopf and Joshua, Jenna and Alicia Lovell; one sister, Lois Ann Finster and husband Dennis, Greenwood; one brother, John Frady and wife Lana, Washington; and a number of nieces ad nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Helen Vermillion.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the Becher Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 9-10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Church.
