The newly renovated facility will host a state-of-the-art geriatric psychiatric inpatient hospital environment.  The growing need for increased mental health access to local seniors and their families should prove a benefit to the area. The facility plans to provide a short stay of one to two weeks and will focus on the mental health needs of senior citizens who are struggling with depression, and a wide variety of other mental health issues.

The hospital will be a resource in treating seniors who have dementia, Alzheimer’s and for those who are experiencing potentially harmful behavioral changes such as physical aggression.

Referrals can be made by a medical professional, family member, or an individual 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling a clinically staffed hotline at 800-676-6718. Once a referral is made, the patient will be assessed at their place of residence by a licensed clinician, who will guide the patient and their family through the admission process and educate them on the patients condition.

Family will be welcome to visit daily and will also receive guidance, support, and discharge planning by a Master’s level social worker.
