Steven R. Curtice, 65, Jasper

Steven R. Curtice, 65, of Jasper, died Friday, May 10, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. He was born in Washington, D.C. July 24, 1953, to Max Parke and Barbara Ann Ledbetter. He was later adopted by Don Curtice and his mother Barbara (Ledbetter) Curtice. He married Maria L. Colantuoni August 31, 1996 in Augustana Church in Holland.

Steven served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He worked in the printing business his whole career for Woods Printing in Holland, retiring as a sales representative. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper. He enjoyed line dancing, where he and his wife served as instructors, playing golf, pickleball, and vacationing in Florida, and was an avid Indiana University basketball fan.

He is survived by his wife, Maria L. Colantuoni-Curtice; two daughters, Renae Marx and husband Kevin, Newburgh, and Stephanie Girten and husband Jim, Morganfield, Kentucky; one step-daughter, Angelica Colantuoni, Chicago; his father, Max Parke and wife Lucy, Indianapolis; six grandchildren,  Damien and Drake Reese, Justin and Joshua Girten, and Nash and Gianna McBride; one sister, Donna Kramer and husband Brad, Fort Branch; and four brothers, Stan Curtice and wife Julie, Princeton, Larry Curtice and wife Lisa, Owensville, Marice Parke, Indianapolis, and Marlin Parke and wife Angie, Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Curtice, and his step-father, Don Curtice.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Holy Family Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Holy Family Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or to a favorite charity.
