Leora Hoffman, 90, Schnellville

Leora Hoffman, 90, of Schnellville, died Sunday, May 5, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born in Cuzco June 12, 1928, to Frank T. and Zina (Lewis) Campbell. She married George Hoffman May 12, 1953, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville. He died February 22, 1999.

Leora was a homemaker and a member of Divine Mercy Parish – Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville and its St. Anne’s Society and the Schnellville Home EC Club. She enjoyed working puzzles, especially jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, embroidery, playing cards, and gardening.

She is survived by four daughters, Monica Schneider and husband Kenny, Schnellville and Deb Wiseman and husband Randy, Donna King and husband Brian, and Martha Neukam and husband Randy, all of Birdseye; two sons, Mike Hoffman and wife Kathy and Greg Hoffman and wife Bonnie, all of Birdseye; 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, four great- great grandchildren; two sisters, Alvina Flory, Fairborn, Ohio, and Doris Dole, Cincinnati, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jackie Atkins, two sisters, Pearl Vinson and Grace Campbell, who died in infancy, four brothers, Arthur and Aaron Campbell, and twin brothers who died in infancy.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Sacred Heart Parish will pray a rosary at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund or to a favorite charity. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
