Early Morning Crash into Tom’s Lawn & Garden Results In Arrest

Jasper (NNDC):

A Jasper man was arrested Sunday morning around 3 AM after crashing into Tom’s Lawn and Garden Center at the “Y” in Jasper.

Police say 22-year-old Quentin Bell was south on U.S. 231 when he veered off of the roadway, hit the building on the South side on 231. The suspect continued back across 231 before coming to a stop in the lawn of the Pizza Hut restaurant.

Witnesses told police they saw Bell try to enter the Holiday Liquors then leaned against the building until police and EMS arrived.

His blood alcohol level was .26%; he’s charged with OWI and taken to the Dubois County Security Center.

Damage to Tom’s Lawn and Garden is thought to be in excess of $10,000. Damage appraisals are forthcoming.
