Groundbreaking Tuesday Evening for Thyen-Clark Cultural Center

Jasper – (NNDC):

A groundbreaking was held Tuesday afternoon for the new Thyen-Clark Cultural Center in Jasper.  The groundbreaking which began at 5:30 p.m. at the site of the future facility: 100 3rd Avenue in Jasper.

Well over 100 members of the public were in attendance.

The cultural center will house Jasper Community Arts and the Jasper Public Library. The work is expected to be done by next year.  Jasper Community Arts Director Kyle Rupert has said the building will be a cultural hub for the area.
The project has a price tag of around $17 million dollars.
