Jerry L. Musgrave, 78, Jasper

Jerry L. Musgrave, 78, of Jasper, died Sunday, March 31, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper. He was born in Dale June 8, 1940, to Leroy “Red” and Mary Mable (Wilkey) Musgrave. He married Eileen Beard  July 27, 1961, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper.

Jerry was a 1958 graduate of Dale High School. He retired from Kimball International, where he worked for 42 years. He also worked at Jasper Park and Recreation for 13 years. He was a long time member of Jasper Outdoor Recreation, an officer for many years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. He was an avid Jasper Wildcat and Indiana Hoosier fan. He enjoyed coffee, scratch off lottery tickets, and socializing with friends at the Marathon.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen Musgrave; three daughters, Tammy Hoffman and companion Kip Weisheit, Terri Sternberg and husband Donnie, and Chrissy Shelton and husband Joe, all of Jasper; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Davis, Indianapolis.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Musgrave.

Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jasper Outdoor Recreation. Donations will be used to dedicate a bench in Jerry’s honor. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with private burial following in Fairview Cemetery. Father Ray Brenner will officiate. A celebration of life will be held after 3 p.m. on June 16 in the Jasper Outdoor Recreation basement. A meal will follow at 5 p.m.
