Purdue falls just short of a Final Four Performance Final Score Purdue 75 Virginia 80

(NNDC) – A last minute shot leads to overtime and a continuation of a super performance by both teams.  Carsen Edwards scores 42 points  and continued to break the record book with his performance tonight against #1 ranked Virginia scoring the most 3 points during a NCAA tournament and scoring the most overall points since Stephen Curry.  The defense was the difference for Purdue tonight with the Big Man Trevion Williams leading the way.  Carsen Ewards scored with less than a minute, but Virginia’s  Hunter came right back and went up by one.

A great run for Purdue and super performance by both teams Coach Tony Bennett of Virginia will mark the second time that  father and son are going to the final four. Speaking of coaches this is Matt Painters 5th season with 20+ wins and Purdue will be back.
