Purdue beat Tennessee in a game for the ages to go to Elite Eight. Twitter going nuts.

(NNDC) – Purdue is going to the Elite Eight for he first time since 2000 after a thrilling overtime win over Tennessee that saw Ryan Cline and Carsen Edwards have monster performances.

Final score Purdue 99  Tennessee 94

Carsen Edwards becomes the first player with 4 straight 25-point games in the NCAA Tournament since Stephen Curry had 5 straight games in 2007-08.  Purdue was seeded third, Tennessee second and Purdue lead for most of the game and then a lot of missed shots many 3 point attempts lead to Tennessee taking over the game, then a last minute foul gave Purdue the chance to get back in the game.

Congratulations to the Boilermakers they will play again Saturday!
