Janice Lee Goldman, 82, Birdseye

Janice Lee Goldman, 82, of Birdseye, died Monday, March 25, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born February 25, 1937, to Herman and Alma (Wright) Andry. She married Victor Goldman in 1953.

Janice retired after 30+ years as a school bus driver for the Southeast Dubois County School Corporation. A lifelong member of the Birdseye Christian Church, Janice was also a 50+ year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Birdseye Chapter #590.

She is survived by one son, Mark Goldman, Birdseye; five daughters, Kathy Stroud and husband Ray, Vicki Venekamp and husband Richard, Debbie Lane and husband Bruce, Joyce Goldman, and Kelly Wiseman, all of Birdseye; daughter-in-law Ruth Goldman; two brothers, Lowell Andry and wife Linda, and Larry Andry and wife Sue; sisters-in-law Shirley and Marsha Andry; one sister, Lora Gibson; 14 grandchildren, Becca Scott and husband Todd, Zach Goldman and wife Amy, Hannah Schultz and husband Jordan, Brie Decker and husband Nick, Josh Stroud and wife Jennifer, Benton Stroud and wife Amber, Amanda Moore and husband Marty, Matthew Venekamp and wife Tiffany, James Venekamp and wife Holly, Ryan Lane, Kody Lane and wife Kristin, Jesse Goldman, and Jonathan and Elliot Wiseman; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Goldman; one son, Reiss Goldman; one daughter-in-law, Patti Goldman; one granddaughter, Brittany Goldman; her stepfather, Dale Bailey; and three brothers, Noel and Allen Andry and Kevin Baily.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Condolences can be shared at www.nassandson.com. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Hickman officiating. Vigil rites will be conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star at the start of the funeral.  Burial will follow in Andry Cemetery in Birdseye.
