Jeffrey Reinhart, 59, Holland

Jeffrey Reinhart, 59, of Holland, died Sunday, March 24, at his home. He was born in Huntingburg January 13, 1960, to Russel “Eldo” and Patricia (Frick) Reinhart. He married Karen Hobbs October 11, 1980.

Jeff worked as a coal miner for 20 years with the Peabody Coal Company. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg and the Holland American Legion. He enjoyed working in his shop, listening to music, collecting and repairing old Victrola record players, and spending time with his dog Lilly.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Reinhart; one son, Ian Reinhart and wife Natalie, Marion, Illinois; two daughters, Sara O’Connell and husband Sean, Brownsburg, and Sonya Villiness and husband Steven, Evansville; eight grandchildren, Jack, Avery, Wesley, Fisher, Benny, Sarah, Vincent and William; one brother, Bruce Reinhart and wife Rachel, Jasper; two sisters, Sherry Perkins and husband Doug, Fort Pierce, Florida, and Sheila Fischer and husband Dan, French Lick; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Ollie Hobbs, Huntingburg;  sister-in-law Donna Gunselman and husband Dan, Holland; and two brothers-in-law, James Hobbs and wife Delana, Ferdinand, and Bill Loper, Winter Haven, Florida.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Kent Reinhart, one sister, Sonia Reinhart, one nephew, Adam Fischer, and one sister-in-law, Becky Rust and husband Mark.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9-9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Memorial contributions can be made to the Dubois County Humane Society. Online condolences can be shared at A graveside service is scheduled at 10 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery. Rev. Mark McDaniel will officiate at the graveside service.
