Jeeps Fall in Softball Season Opener

Dubois (NNDC):  The Northeast Dubois Jeeps opened up their 2019 Softball season on Tuesday night as they hosted North Daviess.   The Jeeps held the Cougars scoreless in the first but gave up one run in the top of the 2nd inning before tying the game in the bottom of the frame.   North Daviess jumped out on top to stay in the top of the 3rd by plating 3 and never looked back.   The Jeeps did have a run cross the plate in the bottom of the 3rd when Becca Brosmer scored on a single from Camryn Stemle.   The Cougars added 3 more runs enroute to the 7-2 victory.   Stemle picked up the loss on the mound for Northeast Dubois as she allowed 6 runs (2 earned) in 4 innings while striking out 3.   With the loss, the Jeeps are 0-1 on the season while North Daviess is 1-0.
