Earl E. “Brewster” Klueh, 83, Ferdinand

Earl E. “Brewster” Klueh, 83, of Ferdinand, died Saturday, March 9, at his home. He was born in Ferdinand January 5, 1936, to Rupert and Emma (Hollinden) Klueh. He married Judy Meyer July 4th, 1963, at Mariah Hill.

Brewster worked as a grocer for 52 years. He worked at Schreiner and Verkamp IGA, Verkamp Red and White, and Holiday Foods. He was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church. He was a Cincinnati Reds, Indiana Hoosiers, and Indianapolis Colts fan and  was a charter member of the Ferdinand Jaycees and the Ferdinand Community Center.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Klueh; two daughters, Susan (Rodney) Blume and husband Rodney, St. Anthony, and Sandy Dold and husband Joe, Chalmers; two sisters, Joan Verkamp and Doretha Wahl and husband Jim, all of Ferdinand; and five grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Klueh, and a brother in infancy, Rupert Jr.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 7-9:30 a.m. Friday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Memorial contributions can be made to Christ the King Parish.
