Wildcats Tournament Run Comes to an End

Seymour (NNDC):  The Jasper Wildcats entered their Class 4A Regional matchup with Center Grove as the underdog and ran into a very solid Trojan team led by Indiana recruit Trayce Jackson-Davis.   Trailing by 4 after one and 10 points at the half, the Wildcats remained in striking distance, but a huge 3rd quarter by Jackson-Davis allowed Center Grove to pull away and advance into the Class 4A Seymour Regional Championship game with a 65-40 win over Jasper.    Reece Milligan led the Wildcats in scoring with 10 points as Jasper finishes up a solid 2018-19 campaign with a 16-10 record and a Sectional title.   The Jasper/Center Grove matchup was broadcasted live on NNDC and is now archived at the top of the website and can be viewed anytime by clicking on the “Newsnow Live / Archive” button.

In the championship game on Saturday night, Center Grove defeated Bloomington South 64-41 and will advance to the Semi-State to face Ben Davis who won the Southport Regional over New Palestine 53-47.
