Maxine D. Boehman, 84, St. Meinrad

Maxine D. Boehman, 84, of St. Meinrad, died Wednesday, March 6, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born in Adyeville March 8, 1934, to Preston and Lostie (Dotterweich) Van Winkle. She married Charles Boehman December 27, 1952, at St. Meinrad Archabbey Church. He died August 7, 2002.

Maxine was a member of St. Meinrad Catholic Church. She was a 1952 graduate of Bristow High School and enjoyed gardening, flowers, music, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Gene Boehman and wife Mary Jane, Ferdinand and Gerald “Jerry” Boehman and wife Mary and Rick Boehman and wife Vicki, all of Jasper; three daughters, Cheryl Phillips and Mary Ann Meyer and husband Ron, all of St. Meinrad, and Maxine Friedel and husband Tony, Bristow; one brother, Harold Van Winkle, Ferdinand; three sisters, Faye Hagedorn, Santa Claus, Wanda Flamion, Carmel, and Alice Woebkenberg, Evansville; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and John Van Winkle, and one sister, Lois Ann Van Winkle.

Friends may call from 1-7 p.m. (CST) Sunday and from 7-9:30 a.m. Monday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Online condolences can be shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. (CST) Monday at St. Meinrad Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
