William J. “Bill” Sitzman, 66, Adyeville

William J. “Bill” Sitzman, 66, of Adyeville, died Friday, March 1, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. He was born in Huntingburg March 29, 1952, to Harold and Helen (Gogel) Sitzman. He married Caroline Miller August 21, 1982, in the Lincoln Boyhood Chapel. She died October of 2011. He married Bonita (Myers) Van Winkle July 1, 2016, at St. Meinrad.

Bill was a truck driver for Mulzer’s. He was a member of the Early Days Tractor Club and St. Meinrad Parish. He enjoyed going to tractor shows.

He is survived by his wife, Bonita; one daughter, Gina Anderson and husband Lewis, Tell City; two step-daughters, Stephanie Dilger and husband Jeff, Mariah Hill, and Debra Dauby and husband Todd, Tell City; one sister, Ann Bumm and husband Robert, Fulda; three brothers, John Sitzman and wife Darlene, Ferdinand, Joseph Sitzman and wife Sue, Mariah Hill and Mark Sitzman, Tell City; three grandchildren, William, Maxwell, and Janie Anderson; and five step-grandchildren, Ross and Claire Dilger and Phillip, Adam, and Elizabeth Dauby.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen Sitzman, and his first wife.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday (CDT) at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Mariah Hill.
