Linda L. Giesler, 70, Jasper

Linda L. Giesler, 70, of Jasper, died Friday, March 1, at her home. She was born in Jasper November 1, 1948, to Silas and Marie (Engelhart) Giesler.

Linda was 1967 graduate of Jasper High School. She retired from Kimball Electronics in Jasper after 40+ years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in  Jasper and she enjoyed playing cards, crafts, watching Indiana University basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals, and visiting with family.

She is survived by five sisters, Bernice Mathies, Ruth Elliott, Viola Brickey, Betty Wildman and husband Jim, and Sue Fried Friedman and husband Jim, all of Jasper’ five brothers, Ed Giesler and wife Helen, Ireland, Bill Giesler, Donnie Giesler and wife Virlee, and Terry Giesler and wife Julie, all of Jasper, and Larry Giesler and wife Robin, Indianapolis; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Virginia Turk, Marge Block, Shirley Mehringer, and Mary Jane Giesler, who died in infancy, and two brothers, Charlie and Robert Giesler.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Church or to a favorite charity. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church with burial following in Fairview Cemetery.
