Francis L. Luebbehusen, 81, St. Henry

Francis L. Luebbehusen, 81, of St. Henry, died Monday, February 25, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in St. Henry February 13, 1938, to Lucas and Rose (Ketzner) Luebbehusen. He married Yvonne Kluesner June 24, 1961, at St. Celestine C0atholic Church.

Francis was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer in the St. Henry area and worked for Ferdinand Furniture, Indiana Desk, and Best Chairs. He was a member of Christ the King Parish – St. Henry Catholic Church and enjoyed taking drives, playing cards, playing softball when he was younger, and spending time with his grandchildren and watching their sporting events.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Luebbehusen; two daughters, Lisa Duncheon and husband Tony, Montgomery, and Paula Wendholt and husband Stan, Ferdinand; one son, one son Jeff Luebbehusen and wife Tina, Mariah Hill; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Christian, and Ethan Duncheon, Katara Kramer and husband Chris, Kyle Luebbehusen, and Alexandra, Benjamin, and Grace Wendholt; two sisters, Margie Fetter, St. Meinrad, and Helen Stenftenagel and husband Rich, Jasper; two brothers, Sylvestor Luebbehusen and wife Mary Lee, Haubstadt, and Lucas “Junie” Luebbehusen and wife Joan, Ft. Branch; and  sister-in-law Alberta Luebbehusen, Ferdinand.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Paschal Luebbehusen.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. St. Henry Church will pray a rosary at 2:45 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Henry Church Cemetery Fund or to a favorite charity. Online condolences can be shared at A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Henry Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
