Rosemary Hopf, 74, Otwell

Rosemary Hopf, 74, of Otwell, died Monday, February 18, at The Timbers of Jasper. She was born in Jasper March 25, 1944, to Albert and Frances (Hauser) Fehribach. She married Kenneth Hopf  April 18, 1963 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper. He died August 14, 2009.

Rosemary was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland. She enjoyed enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, reading, and playing games on the computer.

She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Traylor and husband Jeff, Rockport, Connie Goebel, Evansville, Sharon Fort and husband Lou, Otwell, and Patty Schwartz and husband Richard, St. Henry; three sons, Kerry Hopf, Otwell, David Hopf and wife Teresa, Dubois, and Roger Hopf and wife Tracy, Jasper; 23 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Rita Gress, Ireland, Jean Eck and Patsy Dunkel, both of Jasper, and Dolores Johnson, Switz City; and four brothers, Johnny Fehribach, Florida, Joseph Fehribach and wife Sandy and Thomas Fehribach, all of Jasper, and Jimmy Fehribach, Loogootee.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Payton Hopf, two sisters, Lucille Crockett and Viola Fehribach, and one brother, Karl Fehribach.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Church or to a favorite charity. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with burial following in the church cemetery..
